I created this page primarily to show the graphic I made for my internship class,

the internship class which is
1. making me create a literary publication for marginalized voices, and
2. pool submissions.
I spent a lot of time looking up gregg araki movie posters, trying to find the appropriate fonts, the right pictures, the right colors. and I'm proud of it! but it also has to do its job, which is advertise this so called publication I am to compile and edit.

a lot of the time when I'm coming up with something, I am imagining for it to have some intended effect, often triangulated in my mind through the critical literature of my favorite works. that is to say, I am thinking of meaghan garvey's most recent write-ups for pitchfork, and what they have to say about the "trashy" tellings of britney spears's Blackout, the "imperiousness" of Charli xcx's BRAT. if a flaneur is a city walker, what I want to collect are pieces of people making wherever they are their catwalk, the struggle to contend with (the inconvenience of?) others and the world around us, especially as our ability to contend and measure and locate ourselves in a network becomes imperative to survival for marginalized people. this flaneur may manifest now as the Partygirl, the Academe, the Timebomb, the Dissident, or (most relevant to this class) the Lurker.

if any of this somehow interests you, I'm accepting submissions until may 9. you may click the flyer to find out more

let's go back home!
